This is due to the simple fact that ACOTAR is a plot driven story where as A Court of Mist and Fury is character driven. The characters in A Court of Mist and Fury are so much more compelling and interesting than in its predecessor. And a war in which she may play a pivotal role, if only she can heal her fractured soul. As she navigates it politics and dazzling power, she quickly learns that Amarantha was not the last of their concerns. But what she finds is not at all what she expected. Arrives to take her to the Night Court for a week. Until one day Rhysand, High Lord of the Night Court, arrives to call in his bargain.

As the High fae and lesser faeries rebuild, Feyre attempts to rebuild her broken soul. Despite their attempts to heal and move past all that happened Under the Mountain, they are still haunted by nightmares. Tamlin and Feyre are back at the Spring Court manor. I recognize this books has its flaws, which I will discuss below, but I do not think I will ever stop loving this book. From a personal enjoyment perspective, I cannot say enough glowing things about it. It is this book that rekindled my desire to read, as well as ability to binge read.
